AHTD to Remove Northbound Exit Ramp on Interstate 530/Highway 65

LITTLE ROCK (9-16) -- The Exit 10 northbound ramp on Interstate 530/Highway 65 at Highway 167 in Saline County near East End will be permanently closed on Thursday, September 23, 1999, according to Dan Flowers, Director of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.

Northbound motorists wanting to exit onto Highway 167 must use Exit 9 and cross over the highway back to the southbound lanes. The southbound exit ramp to Highway 167 will not be affected by this ramp closure.

AHTD crews will begin erecting barricades on the ramp beginning at 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The inside northbound lane will be closed at the ramp to provide merging access around the work site from Highway 167. Crews will work throughout the day to modify the pavement markings and remove destination signs.
