Notice to MediaHighway Police Officers Uncover Load of MarijuanaLITTLE ROCK (9-16) For the third time in less than a month, officers from the Arkansas Highway Police Division of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) have uncovered a large shipment of illegal drugs at the Lehi Weigh Station on I-40 near West Memphis, according to Dan Flowers, Director of the AHTD. On Tuesday, September 14 at 8:40 a.m., officers were making a routine safety inspection of a tractor-trailer rig at the eastbound weigh station. During the inspection, officers discovered several cardboard boxes concealed in a load of tomatoes. The boxes contained approximately 600 pounds of marijuana. Three suspects were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Those arrested are identified as Stanford Henry, 39, of Homestead, Florida, Michael Gutzmore, 28, and Carlton Grant, 39, both of Los Angeles. It appears that the vehicle was traveling from Los Angeles to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On August 21, officers at the Lehi Weigh Station discovered 1,500 pounds of marijuana in a truck carrying military-type packaged food. Following that arrest, officers confiscated 1,100 pounds of marijuana and two kilograms of cocaine on August 29. #### For Further Information Contact:
