Highway Maintenance Project to Cause I-40 Lane Closure

LITTLE ROCK (9-24) -- Crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be performing routine maintenance work on Interstate 40 on Tuesday, September 28, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The project involves repairing the shoulder along the highway in North Little Rock. To accommodate the equipment, the inside westbound lane will have to be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. The repair area is located between the Burns Park (Exit 150) and Levy Exits (Exit 152).

All lanes will be open and normal traffic flow will resume at the end of the workday.

Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the repair period.
