I-40 Reconstruction to Cause Mayflower Ramp Closure

LITTLE ROCK (5-31) – Reconstruction of Interstate 40 west of North Little Rock will necessitate closing the westbound exit ramp at Mayflower for a short period, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The ramp closure will begin Thursday, June 1 at approximately 11:00 p.m. and continue until 10:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Portions of the main westbound lanes will also be closed to facilitate the construction. Westbound motorists should use the Highway 365 exit ramp at Morgan as an alternate route to Mayflower.

Freshour Construction Co., Inc. of Cabot, Arkansas was awarded a $15,185,047.72 contract for the six-mile project. The work is expected to be complete later this year.
