Notice to MediaAHTD to Hold Public Hearing in Searcy LITTLE ROCK (7-11) -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation
Department (AHTD) will hold an open forum public hearing to discuss the proposed
reconstruction of Arkansas Highway 16 (Maple Street) in Searcy, according to
AHTD Director Dan Flowers. The hearing offers citizens the opportunity to
express their views on the proposed widening of the highway in Searcy. The informal hearing will be held Thursday, July 20, 2000, from 4:00
p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church located at 703 W. Cherry St. in
Searcy. The project is located
along Highway 16 between Covington Road and Race Avenue. The open forum
hearing allows citizens the opportunity to attend anytime between 4:00 and 7:00
p.m. Personnel will be on hand during those hours to answer questions and take
written or oral comments about the project. Anyone wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits in place
of, or in addition to, written statements made at the public hearing may submit
