Lane to be Closed on Highway 67/167 in Jacksonville

A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will periodically close one lane of U.S. Highway 67/167 at Jacksonville on Thursday, August 3, according to Dan Flowers, Director of the AHTD.

Beginning Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m., a moving lane closure will be required to allow the contractor to stripe the highway at the southbound Vandenberg Boulevard exit ramp, weather permitting.  Only a short distance of roadway will actually be closed while the striping takes place.  The Vandenberg Exit will not be closed during the striping process.

The work will continue throughout the evening until approximately 12:00 midnight when all lanes will be reopened to traffic.

Motorists may want to use an alternate route or allow extra travel time during the lane closure.
