I-40 Reconstruction to Cause Mayflower Ramp Closure

LITTLE ROCK (8-4) – Reconstruction of Interstate 40 west of North Little Rock will necessitate closing the eastbound Highway 365 entrance ramp at Mayflower for a short period next week, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The ramp closure will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 7 and continue throughout the day until midnight Monday night, weather permitting.

Portions of the main eastbound lanes will also be closed to facilitate the construction.  Eastbound motorists should use the Highway 89 entrance ramp as an alternate route from Mayflower.

For up to the minute construction information on the I-40 reconstruction project, motorists may tune to 1680 AM in the construction area or access the Department’s Internet website at www.arkansashighways.com.
