AHTD to Hold Public Hearing in Jonesboro

LITTLE ROCK (8-10) -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold an open forum public hearing to discuss the proposed widening of Highway 63B in Jonesboro, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The informal hearing will be held Tuesday, August 15, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Head Start Center located at 213 N. Fisher St. in Jonesboro.  The proposed 2.7-mile widening project is located along Highway 63B between Culberhouse and Highway 49 in Jonesboro.

The open forum hearing allows citizens the opportunity to attend anytime between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Personnel will be on hand during those hours to answer questions and take written or oral comments about the project.

Anyone wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits in place of, or in addition to, written statements made at the public hearing may submit them to the District Engineer, AHTD, P.O. Box 98, Paragould, Arkansas 72451-0098 or email to . Such submissions must be received no later than Friday, August 25, 2000.
