Lanes to be Closed on I-40

       LITTLE ROCK (4-16) – A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will temporarily close the westbound outside lane of Interstate 40 at the Palarm Creek Bridge east of Mayflower on Wednesday and Thursday, April 18 -19, according to Dan Flowers, Director of the AHTD.

        Beginning Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. and continuing until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 19, crews will be making repairs to the bridge. Traffic will be routed onto the shoulder during the repair period. Only a short distance of roadway will actually be closed while the repair work takes place.

        Motorists may want to use an alternate route or allow extra travel time during the closure.
