AHTD To Hold Meeting on Highway 1 Improvements

        LITTLE ROCK (4-27) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will conduct a second public involvement session to discuss the proposed improvement of Arkansas Highway 1 at Marianna, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

        This meeting is a follow-up to a similar meeting held July 27, 2000.  As a result of comments received at the earlier meeting, Department staff will present additional information regarding improvement of the existing highway.  The informal session will be held Tuesday, May 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Marianna City Hall located at 45 West Mississippi Street in Marianna.

          The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to offer comments on the proposal.  Department personnel will be on hand to discuss the project and answer questions.
