AHTD To Hold Meeting On Highway 270 Bypass

    LITTLE ROCK (5-4) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will conduct a second public involvement session to discuss the proposed Highway 270 Bypass in Malvern, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

    This meeting is a follow-up to a similar meeting held November 9, 2000.  As a result of comments received at the earlier meeting, Department staff will present additional information regarding construction of a two-lane bypass on new location.  The informal session will be held Wednesday, May 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the campus of Ouachita Technical College located at #1 College Drive in Malvern. 

    The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view conceptual alignments and offer comments.  Department personnel will be on hand to discuss the project and answer questions.
