AHTD To Install Signs on Interstate 530 

LITTLE ROCK (5-17) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will be installing overhead signs on Interstate 530 southbound in Pine Bluff on Sunday, May 20, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers. 

           

The work is part of an overall $1.3 million project to install new signage on I-530 from Little Rock to Pine Bluff.  As part of the installation work, it will be necessary to temporarily close the off-ramp at Exit 46 near the Pine Mall.  In order to minimize the inconvenience to the traveling public, the work will begin at approximately 7:00 a.m. and continue until approximately 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, weather permitting.  The ramp will be reopened to traffic on Sunday afternoon immediately following completion of the work.

 

Motorists may want to use alternate route or allow extra travel time during the closure.  As always, motorists are urged to "Think Ahead", "Buckle-up", and exercise caution when traveling through work zones.
