Repair Work Scheduled for Bridge on Interstate 440 

LITTLE ROCK (5-25) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will be making repairs to the Interstate 440 Bridge in Little Rock on Wednesday, May 30, and Thursday, May 31, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.                              

The work is necessary to repair expansion joints on the bridge.  The repair work will require closure of the westbound inside lane of Interstate 440 at the bridge.  Crews will be making repairs to the bridge on Wednesday and Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.  Only a short distance of roadway will actually be closed while repair work takes place. 

          

Motorists may want to use an alternate route or allow extra travel time during the closures.  As always, motorists are urged to “Think Ahead”, “Buckle-up”, and exercise caution when traveling through work zones.
