Highway Department to Hold Meeting on Scenic Byway Designation

LITTLE ROCK (6-21) -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will host a public hearing on Thursday, June 28 concerning the designation of a section of Interstate 530 as an Arkansas Scenic Byway, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers. 

 The route covered by this proposal is from Highway 256 in White Hall to Highway 65 at the eastern edge of Pine Bluff.  The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m at the Waterfront Facility Building at Regional Park, 1100 Regional Park Drive, in Pine Bluff.

 The public hearing is being held to provide an opportunity for interested persons, agencies and organizations to express their views regarding the proposal.  During the hearing Department personnel will be available to answer questions concerning the Arkansas Scenic Byway designation.  All interested persons will be heard at the public hearing.
