Notice to MediaHighway Overpass Work Underway on I-30LITTLE
ROCK (6-13) – A
contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD)
will be removing safety platforms from the overpass at Springhill Drive on
Interstate 30 between Benton and Bryant on Thursday, June 14 and Monday, June
18, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers The
platforms were put in place during the construction of the Springhill Drive
overpass in Benton. As part of the
platform removal process, it will be necessary to temporarily close lanes of
Interstate 30 near the Springhill Drive overpass, weather permitting.
All work is being performed during off-peak hours to minimize
inconvenience to motorists. The
work will require temporary lane closures on the following dates and times: Thursday, June 14
7:00
p.m. – 6:00 a.m. – The eastbound inside and westbound inside lanes of
Interstate 30 near Springhill Drive overpass. Monday, June
18
7:00
p.m. – 6:00 a.m. – The eastbound outside and westbound outside lanes of
Interstate 30 near Springhill Drive overpass.
Motorists may want to use an alternate route or allow extra travel time during
the closures. As
always, motorists are urged to “Think Ahead”, “Buckle-up” and exercise
caution when approaching and traveling through work zones. ####
