Progress Necessitates Lane Closures For Sevier Street Off Ramp Construction

LITTLE ROCK (8-10) – A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will be preparing for installation of concrete barrier walls on Interstate 30 at the Sevier Street off ramp next week, necessitating a lane closure at the eastbound 115 mile marker, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers. The existing Sevier Street off ramp will stay open during construction of the new ramp.

Work on the project, weather permitting, is scheduled to begin on the night of Tuesday, August 14 and continue for four consecutive nights. Temporary lane closures will be necessary to allow completion of the project. Work will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 6:00 am Tuesday-Thursday and from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am on Friday.

"The contractor has elected to utilize nighttime hours for construction to minimize delays to the traveling public," said Flowers.
