Notice to MediaHighway Work Scheduled on Highway 67/167
LITTLE ROCK (11-30) A
contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD)
will be working on a new overpass on Highway 67/167 just south of Jacksonville
next week. Weather permitting, the
work will take place at night on Monday, December 3 and finish at noon Tuesday,
December 4, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.
This project is part of
the Northbelt Freeway Interchange construction with Highway 67/167.
Work will consist of installing safety platforms and it will be necessary
to temporarily close lanes on Highway 67/167.
The work is being done during off-peak hours to minimize inconvenience to
motorists. Any work postponed due
to inclement weather will be rescheduled as conditions improve. Temporary
lane closures will be required at the following times: Monday,
December 3 Northbound
outside lane closed beginning at 7:00 p.m. and continuing until 12:00 noon
Tuesday. The southbound outside
lane will be closed beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3 and continuing
until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4. Motorists may want to use an alternate route or allow extra travel time during the closure. As always, motorists are urged to “Think Ahead”, “Buckle-up” and exercise caution when approaching and traveling through work zones. #### For Further Information Contact:
