RED•Zones are Arkansas highway projects that have significantly reduced capacity
that can lead to travel delays.

Motorists are encouraged to Know the RED•Zones and plan trips accordingly.
Drivers can help reduce congestion through these areas by considering alternate routes or
changing their time of travel.

US Highway 70
Green Route

I-40 Eastbound: Take Exit 183 or Exit 193 to Hwy 70. Travel East to Brinkley or Wheatley
I-40 Westbound: Take Exit 221 or Exit 216 to Hwy 70. Travel West to Hazen or Carlisle

US Highway 64
Blue Route

From Conway: Take US Hwy 64 east to Beebe then take US Highway 67/167 north to Bald Knob then
continue east on US Hwy 64 to Marion. Then take I-55 south to West Memphis

From Little Rock: Take US Highway 67/167 north to Bald Knob then take US Hwy 64 east to Marion.
Then take I-55 south to West Memphis

From West Memphis:Take I-55 north to Marion then US Hwy 64 west to Bald Knob. Then south on US 67/167

RED•Zone Travel Tips

Know Before You Go – Know where construction sites are located and plan accordingly.

Look and Listen While on the Road– Look for message boards and other signage, and tune to Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) channels where available for the latest traveler information.

Use Mobile Travel Apps – Many products are now available that allow vehicle passengers to monitor traffic flow on roadways. Solo drivers should pull off the road before accessing this information.
