Carl S. Rosenbaum
Carl S. Rosenbaum of Little Rock was appointed by Governor Mike Huckabee to a 10-year term on the Arkansas State Highway Commission.  Rosenbaum took the Oath of Office on January 16, 2001.  His term will expire in January 2011.

A native of Little Rock, Rosenbaum received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.  During his career, Rosenbaum has worked in various management and executive positions in the private sector.  Rosenbaum currently serves as the chairman of Safefoods Corporation in North Little Rock and Arkansas Glass Container Corporation in Jonesboro.

In addition to his business career, Rosenbaum has served on a number of civic boards and organizations.  He is a life board member for Youth Home, Inc. and a past vice president and board member of the Quapaw Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  Rosenbaum has served as an international director for Rotary International and as president of Little Rock Rotary Club No. 99.  Rosenbaum has served on the boards of Baptist Health, the Greater Little Rock YMCA, Regions Bank of Little Rock and the advisory board of UAMS Arkansas BioVentures.  He is a former board member of Citizens Bank of Jonesboro.

Rosenbaum’s previous experience in public service includes serving as a member of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, advisory council of the Arkansas Department of Human Services Mental Health and the advisory council of the Eighth District Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. 

Rosenbaum, a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Little Rock, and his wife Martha, have and a son, Sid, daughter-in-law, Wanda, two daughters, Kathryn Rosenbaum Coleman and Carol Rosenbaum Moore, two son-in-laws, Curtis Coleman and Rick Moore, and six grandchildren.
