Internal Audit operates independently to test the adequacy
of accounting systems, fiscal procedures and activities within the
Department. Functioning as an agent of the Commissioner of Revenues,
International Fuel Tax Agreement and Motor Fuel/Special Motor Fuels tax
audits are performed.
