Maintenance functions are conducted by Central Office and District forces. Their efforts preserve the investment in Arkansas' highways. Central Office forces are Heavy Bridge Maintenance, Facilities Management, Traffic Operations, and Radio Communications. District maintenance forces include area maintenance crews located in all 75 counties with responsibilities for general maintenance of highways and facilities.
