Looking back at the year 2010, this has been a very busy and productive time for the Highway and Transportation Department.

The year saw Arkansas’ Economic Stimulus projects continue to move forward. We have funded 132 road projects using Stimulus funds. That translates into 296 miles of improvements on Arkansas highways. The projects have included a variety of things such as traffic signals, minor rehabilitation, roadway widening and Interstate rehabilitation. Stimulus spending even included a roundabout in North Little Rock, an Arkansas Welcome Center in West Memphis and the replacement of two tugboats for the Peel Ferry on Bull Shoals Lake.  Read More..
