Section 5309 – Discretionary Capital Assistance
This program provides capital assistance to transportation agencies and systems for busses and bus related items. Seven rural systems, eight urban systems, and two hundred and thirty public and private human service providers rely on this program for replacement and expansion of their rolling stock fleets. This program requires monitoring inventories, preventative maintenance, and use of capital.

Match Requirement: Capital - 80% federal, 20% local
